Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is work as part of the contract engineering team to provide the required support for specific Lucy Middle East Sales Opportunities.  This will include the creation of full product assembly within the Engineering system, Preparation of BOMs as per customer requirement, Preparation of schematics & wiring diagram, Design & development of new features. The successful candidate will bring their professional expertise and knowledge in all aspects of MV / LV Switchgear. Job Context: The successful candidate will work as part of a local team whilst interacting closely with the remote Lucy Middle East pre-sale and post-sale departments to develop and deliver the design solutions required.  Design tasks will be varied with a strong electro-mechanical bias.  Under the guidance of the local IEC Team, the job holder will need to co-ordinate with the Lucy Middle East sales team to ensure the timely execution of each enquiry / contract and will also be responsible to provide the solutions within the required timelines as well as producing associated GAs and Schematics for customer approval. The job holder will also be responsible for producing the Engineering Bill of Materials ready for manufacture. Job Dimensions: The role will be permanently based in the India Engineering facility and reports locally to the Engineering Manager with a responsibility to the Lucy Middle East Head of Engineering. Utilizing the PLM system to generate complete design solutions that meet the customer requirements in accordance with the companies required procedures and policies.   Key Accountabilities:  * To plan, execute and monitor the allocated activities within specified timelines * Follow the design processes developed by engineering team to issue drawings and bill of material using the PLM & CAD systems.  * To design parts and solutions whilst keeping cost to a minimum and without compromising on quality. * To prepare schematics and wiring diagrams as per customer requirements Qualification, Experience & Skills: * Degree in Electrical Engineering. * 8 years' experience in MV/LV switchgear related activity * Experience in auxiliary electrical, electronic and protection systems for Switchgear applications  * Sheet metal part design experience * Good communication skills in a one to one or group environment * PC literate in Microsoft Office * Excellent attention to detail * Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines Behavioral Competencies:  * Is a confident self-starter * Able to work both independently and within a team * Have a customer centred focus * Good interpersonal skills with a pleasant and can-do attitude * Highly organised * Must have a positive and confident approach to tasks * An ability to think logically and practically * Ability to cope with work pressures and go the extra mile * Proactive approach to plan project activities
