This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the United States. The Senior Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data solutions to support analytics, business intelligence, and enterprise data management. You will lead efforts to modernize data pipelines, data warehouses, and datalakes while ensuring cost-efficient and secure cloud operations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business goals and healthcare data standards. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and big data systems to enable data-driven decision-making. Accountabilities Architect, design, and implement datalakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines for enterprise-scale analytics. Deploy and manage secure, cost-effective AWS (or cloud) environments across multiple availability zones and regions. Collaborate with internal departments and business stakeholders to define strategic data architecture and roadmap improvements. Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex business programs and data processes. Ensure alignment of enterprise data with standards such as FHIR for healthcare applications. Evaluate and recommend OSS/COTS solutions to enhance data operations and governance. Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and support. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in software and data engineering with leadership on large-scale projects. Strong expertise in big data technologies, cloud architecture (AWS preferred), and cost-conscious cloud design. Proficiency with PostgreSQL, ETL development, S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue, CloudWatch. Experience with AWS database tools, cloud deployment, and secure data management. Familiarity with healthcare or sensitive data (PHI/PII) and standards such as FHIR. Preferred skills: Python, TypeScript, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Secrets Manager, Route53, CloudFormation, DataBricks. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Competitive salary: $128,700–$153,400 USD/year.
