POSITION SUMMARY:

This role calls for a highly skilled Senior Digital Analytics Engineer responsible for owning, creating and maintaining the digital analytics implementation for our ecommerce websites and management of our digital analytics and tag management platforms. The ideal candidate has a unique blend of technical expertise and the ability to partner with business teams that leverage digital data to define requirements and design/implement measurement solutions that will help us uncover insights to drive the success of our ecommerce websites. Although this position has more of a technical focus, there will be opportunities to participate in analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing Digital Analytics Tracking solutions for websites (preferably e-commerce): architecting, defining, implementing, testing and debugging analytics requirements
  • Proficiency in Adobe Analytics with proven experience as an Adobe Analytics administrator (eVars, Props, Success events, and their settings, SAINT & Rule-based classifications, etc.)
  • Tag Management System power user with experience managing and deploying code in tools like Tealium (strongly preferred), Adobe Launch, or Google Tag Manager.
  • Working knowledge/understanding of the fundamentals of website architecture (how sites work) and web-based programming languages like JavaScript, Regular Expressions, HTML and CSS is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript for tag and analytics implementations
  • Knowledge of Agile development and software lifecycle methodologies
  • Understanding of Privacy and Compliance Considerations (such as GDPR, CCPA)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics is required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science or MIS (Management Information Systems) is a plus

SKILLS:

  • Effective communicator with a unique blend of technical and business skills- must be able to talk “code” with developers, and about data/site experience with business stakeholders
  • Ability to probe/ask the right questions to business teams to find out what understand how customers interact with our site, versus what they think we should “track”.
  • Someone who is curious and isn’t afraid to ask the right questions to learn how something works- before you can track anything, knowing how it works is critical.
  • There are often many ways to track user behavior on a website. We’re looking for someone who will not only be able to figure out how to track something, but flexible in considering/evaluating different approaches and methods of data collection and select the right solution that meets the needs of the business.
  • The patience and perseverance to troubleshoot issues and find the solution
  • Must be well organized and proactive- someone who can work well with minimal hand holding, communicate proactively with team members, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously with adherence to deadlines.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, but also able to pull up to see the big picture of what we’re doing and how it fits within our ecommerce group and the company in general
  • An understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, is preferred.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
