Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer - Dry Utilities to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing dry utility systems for various infrastructure projects across the region. Develop/Review of Dry utilities Master plan report, derive demand load calculations, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects Thorough experience in Grid stations, primary substation requirements, allocating HV corridor up to 400kV level, detailed design of substations, feeder pillars and service turrets, MV up to 33kV and above, LV networks, calculations, excellent report writing skills Understanding of 132/220/400 KV overhead and underground lines, relocation, and protection undefined Strong understating of HV/MV/LV equipment, generators and power backup, traction power for rails including the medium voltage to low voltage distribution Prepare/Review the telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts, manholes Design/Review of Street Lighting for all type of roads, ROW, Lighting Calculations, SLDs, Load schedules, landscape lighting branch wiring etc., Review the technical deliverables as per local authority and town planning department requirements for each dry services Attend Client design meetings, kick off meetings, progress meetings, workshops, prepare presentation and lead dry utilities design as front end when required, conduct internal trainings, and provide technical support to graduate and engineers Prepare/Review Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities(if required) Work towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university 8 years of experience in dry utility engineering, with a focus on projects in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE Proven track record in designing and managing complex dry utility systems for large-scale infrastructure projects In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards in Dubai and the UAE Strong technical skills in electrical systems, telecommunications networks, and gas distribution systems Proficiency in design calculation techniques, including street lighting, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, earthing, and fault level calculations Expertise in using industry-standard software such as Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, and ETAP Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient dry utility designs Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
