Location: Swansea
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility required to support production demands)

As we expand our operations and invest in modernisation, we are seeking a capable and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in our technical team.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems across our production sites. Working closely with the Group Operations Director and local General Managers, this role is critical in ensuring plant reliability, energy efficiency, and uptime of key machinery used in our industrial laundry processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment including tunnel washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and automated conveyors.
  • Lead on reactive fault finding and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Provide first-line diagnostics on electrical control systems including motors, sensors, relays, and contactors.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of PLC-driven systems and automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards including risk assessments and isolation procedures.
  • Liaise with OEM suppliers and external contractors to coordinate major works or upgrades.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and contribute to continuous improvement planning.
  • Offer mentoring and technical support to junior engineers or apprentices.
