Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in engineering projects or industrial equipment production, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation standards, best practices, and safety regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across different functions.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the technical sales team by preparing scopes of supply and cost estimates related to electrical and automation systems during the project proposal stage.
  • Communicate with agents, distributors, OEM partners, and end-users to clarify technical specifications for electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EICA) systems.
  • Design and develop control panel layouts, generate Bills of Materials (BOM), and perform hardware component selection using AutoCAD or EPLAN.
  • Develop PLC and HMI programs (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley) for process and functional control of water and wastewater systems.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers locally and regionally on procurement, cabling, wiring works, and control panel fabrication and assembly.
  • Monitor production progress and procurement schedules related to panel building, wiring, and automation systems.
  • Supervise on-site electrical installations, perform electrical panel testing, instrumentation setup, loop testing, and automation commissioning.
  • Compile and hand over system documentation such as operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals for electrical and automation components to relevant stakeholders.
