ESTATES OFFICE BUILDING SERVICES AND SYSTEMS SECTION Senior Engineer (25260820) Reporting to the Manager, the appointee will be responsible for leading a project team to perform electrical and mechanical project management duties for capital projects and campus renovation/improvement works of the University. Responsibilities: * Manage the key building services deliverables from inception to completion of projects; * Liaise with other team members, user departments, consultants, contractors, statutory bodies and public utilities; * Identify technical and design deficiencies of building services systems; * Provide professional support for system installation and supervise systems commissioning and performance testing; * Participate in providing technical inputs in campus energy conservation/carbon footprint reduction projects and prepare technical reports and budget proposals; and * Undertake other duties as assigned by seniors. Requirements: * A recognised degree in Building Services/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of eight years' relevant work experience; * Familiar with the building services design, the statutory submission requirements and Codes of Practice and experienced in computer-aided design (AutoCAD); * Self-motivated with good communication and language skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; * The ability to work under pressure and be a good team player; and * Experience in managing government-funded capital/improvement projects is an advantage.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Applicants with less relevant work experience may be considered for the post of Engineer.  The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.  Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
