ABOUT THE ROLE

IMR Test Labs, Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Failure Analysis & Materials Testing) to deliver metallurgical failure analysis services and support testing operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further your technical and leadership career in a dynamic environment, working closely with local and international customers as well as other IMR sites.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct SEM/EDX and Metallurgical Failure Analysis to support failure investigations, ensure high-quality analysis, accurate reporting and customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with customers to clarify technical requirements, propose scope of work, and ensure testing and evaluation objectives are met.
  • Perform metallurgical preparation and evaluation of specimens and generate reports to be issued to customers within committed lead times.
  • Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with international standards, customer specifications and applicable technical, quality and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers on testing requirements, sample submissions, expected completion dates and test results.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate multi-department testing jobs.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap and customer audits.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance lab capabilities, testing efficiency, and turnaround times.
  • Oversee laboratory facility upkeep and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) management activities.
