JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Wireless Field Maintenance Engineer ensures the technical service quality and operation of In-Building Wireless (IBW) projects acting as a company engineering representative, the role supports critical and highly sensitive locations, including customer and supplier facilities.

TRAVEL/SHIFT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel within the local market and other markets as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to meet customer SLA (Service Level Agreement) requirements.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Mastery of testing with scanners or other data collection equipment and software.
  • Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, power meters, PIM testers, signal generators, and OTDRs.
  • Ability to perform sweeps, PIM testing, coax termination, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies, including CBRS, LTE, LTE-A, and 5G.
  • Familiarity with DAS products such as Corning One, ADRF, CommScope, Solid, and JMA TEKO (certifications preferred).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies, standards, and certification requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, while retaining the ability to work collaboratively within a team to solve operational challenges to Telamon’s advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret building drawings and floor plans.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and iBwave Design/Viewer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience of field engineering experience.
  • Mastery in advanced RF troubleshooting techniques for wireless technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging wireless technologies including CBRS, LTE, LTE-A, and 5G.
  • Experience with Small Cell RF repeater/BDA product installation, testing, and commissioning.Certification in at least one DAS product line (e.g. Corning, ADRF, JMA Teko, CommScope, or Solid).
