POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Engineer, Front End Subject Matter Expert (SME), you are a key member of the Process Optimization /Technical Efficiencies Team; reporting to the Front End Process Engineering Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball by provide technical support for the front end process manufacturing engineering function.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering discipline preferred or equivalent work-related experience and education.
• 5 year(s) minimum job related experience in manufacturing or metal forming environment.
• Demonstrated Skills :
• Proficiency with standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Familiarity with an ERP system such as JD Edwards.
• Familiarity with running a trial of new product/processes and working with innovation teams.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to collect and evaluate data and identify trends.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years experience working with cuppers, trimmers and /or bodymakers in a beverage packaging manufacturing.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience managing small projects (up to $2 million; including budget management, vendor management, and implementation of capital equipment).
