Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Senior Engineer based on our brand new £100m+ major highways project in Leiston, Suffolk, you will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.
  • Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.
