Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Liquified Natural Gas / Compressed Natural Gas (LNG/CNG) Asset Management Senior Engineer is responsible for developing strategies, performing analyses, and creating plans that enable National Grid to build and maintain safe and reliable LNG/CNG facility operations while optimizing the return on investment from the company’s LNG/CNG assets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide risk-based Asset Management support of LNG and CNG assets in National Grid’s New England Gas Service Territory (8 LNG Plants and 1 CNG Station)
  • Set the Asset Management strategy to improve reliability, manage risk, meet regulatory requirements, and deliver customer satisfaction at optimum cost with consideration for rate case implications
  • Work with LNG Operations to carry out field work and investigation to evaluate asset condition
  • Translate requirements and business objectives into well-defined asset replacement projects and life extension programs with clearly defined business cases
  • Develop, budget, and deliver asset plans for maintenance and capital investment to improve business performance for short (annual program work) and long term (10-year plan)
