Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Electronic, electrical or informatic Engineer with at least 6+ years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from purely Technical going to administrative to strategic. The position is based in Tito Scalo (Italy).

ACCOUNTABILITIES

We are looking for an electronic, electrical or Informatic Engineer to minimize the redesign risk across Hitachi Rail portfolio Products.The successful candidate will work within Industrialization Mechanical, electrical and electronic design function and in coordination with engineering, research & Development, quality, procurement, supply chain and manufacturing, providing support for sustainability of new or existing Hitachi Products and system.

• Monitor of Portfolio product of rail control on Cost of product, Obsolescence Status, Material lead time.
• Work with engineering, quality, procurement, project and supply chain to drive obsolescence issues and proactively identify and address solutions.
• Interface with Supply chain to maintain updated on Obsolescence and Engineering tools the forecast, master panning schedule and bid needs.
• Contribute to the definition of the products roadmap with BU Portfolio giving low/medium/long term information on the products.
• Ensure a common sharing within Technology of obsolescence issues, driving, through product roadmap, vs. a mitigation/solution action list.
• Ensure the search and implementation of continuous process improvement in line with the Global Signalling and Technology targets also by lessons learnt to be managed within the team.
• Ensure the cost evaluation, planning, constraints and risks of the activities under the CoC responsibility for all bids, maximizing return from experience, the application of standard processes and internal metrics.
• Knowledge on Product documentation and able to promote and drive value analysis activities.
• Have the ability of critical review of product promoting any initiatives to improve quality, costs and lead times.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE

• At least 6+ years of experience.
• Demonstrate aptitude for communication, collaboration and cooperation with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work in an international context.
• Knowledge to read technical documentation of product and documented experience of manufacturing routing.
• Experience of industrial Production, Industrialization and ability to interface with R&D department.
• Knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA, APO, IBP).
• Knowledge of Product data management.

DESIRED SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE

• Design of electronic boards and/or electronic safety systems;
• Management of technical topics like Engineering design, Test;
• Manufacturing of Electronic boards or electronic device;

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical or informatic
Languages
English proficiency level B1
