Job Description: Microchip’s Wireless Solutions Group is seeking a SOC Emulation engineer to support SOC development for our next generation, mixed signal, low-power wireless products. The role will focus on the areas of RTL design, FPGA synthesis and FPGA system bring-up, debug, verification and validation. It will require a proactive candidate with a proven record of success in cross functional and cross site team environments. Key Responsibilities: Design of digital modules and Bluetooth products Design verification on module- and chip-level Perform FPGA synthesis, place & route and timing optimization Work with FW/Validation/RF teams to perform FPGA system bring-up, debug, verification and validation to meet the product development goals Requirements/Qualifications: Good knowledge of Verilog, better to know System Verilog Good knowledge of FPGA Synthesis, place & route and FPGA timing optimization Familiar with Synplify/Xilinx ISE/Vivado Knowledge of FPGA emulation flow Knowledge of ARM/MIPS based subsystem Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
