About the role: We have a great opportunity for a Senior ICT and Integration Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the development of engineering specifications, engineering reports, design and testing of ICT system hardware, software components. The role is responsible for the requirements definition and development of reference designs for new ICT systems to be incorporated into a design baseline.  The role also requires development of integration plans for rolling stock and assurance of new systems and operating methodologies.  As the Senior ICT and Integration Engineer will support multiple activities across the delivery lifecycle and perform design and engineering tasks on rolling stock systems. This includes producing safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective designs; supporting production, maintenance and test & commissioning with timely engineering advice and concessions; identification of the root cause of problems across the fleet; managing technical risks and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders Experience: * Degree qualifications – Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Systems Engineering Degree or similar recognised by Engineers Australia Mandatory. * Achieved CPEng status or working towards it. * Rolling stock or Intelligent Transportation Systems experience with 5 or more years’ experience.  * Prior experience software development as practiced in railway, military or heavy industrial environments. * Prior experience with CCTV systems, Passenger Information Systems and or Shore Based systems. * Experience with leading a team of engineers for engineering projects. * Prior experience with real-time control systems, voice and digital communications, plant control logic and/or software development as practiced in transportation, military or heavy industrial environments. * Exceptional stakeholder engagement experience and driving technical meetings with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.   Skills & Knowledge: * Ability to effectively lead engineering teams and manage project delivery timelines, including documentation across the systems engineering lifecycle.  * Strong capability to interpret technical requirements and commercial contracts.  * Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct detailed investigations and deliver clear, decisive reports to senior management.  * Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to lead technical meetings with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders. * Relevant Australian and International standards (AS, ASA, MD, EN, RFC, IEEE, etc.) experience, notably EN50155, EN50128 and similar.   What we offer * Opportunities to grow your career within a diverse, multi-disciplinary business.  * Supportive and collaborative team environment. * Flexible working arrangements to encourage work/life balance   For further information please email Fionah.bryant1@downergroup.com [Fionah.bryant1@downergroup.com] Applications will not be accepted via email, please apply via the link.
