Description
Coordinates with cross functional stakeholders to define HFID requirements. The individual should be a team player who is willing to collaborate and work in cross functional teams across geographies and cultures. The candidate should be well versed with overall R&D, Quality, and Regulatory processes for medical devices. Demonstrates deep expertise in Human Factors Engineering and Industrial Design principles, with a strong portfolio showcasing practical applications across industries Applies advanced ergonomic analysis methods to inform and optimize product design, ensuring user comfort, safety, and efficiency. Translates user needs and innovation goals into actionable design insights that drive product differentiation and usability. Proficient in surface modeling and visualization tools such as Rhino, SolidWorks, and KeyShot, with a strong ability to communicate design intent through hand rendering and digital techniques. Collaborates effectively with external design consultants to manage project resources and ensure alignment with internal standards and timelines. Partners closely with regional and in-country upstream marketing teams to align user-centered design opportunities with strategic business objectives. Conducts user research using methodologies like ethnography, contextual inquiry, and other qualitative tools to uncover deep customer insights and translate them into innovative design solutions. Develops and maintains a prioritized portfolio of customer needs, considering the perspectives of all key stakeholders including patients, clinicians, and business partners. Integrates engineering principles to navigate design constraints and propose feasible, innovative solutions that meet technical and regulatory requirements. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering skill development and ensuring high-quality output across the team. Works cross-functionally with teams including marketing, clinical, regulatory, pre-clinical, and global R&D to ensure cohesive product development. Exhibits strong communication and presentation skills, effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for design decisions and user needs. Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Master's in Design (Industrial Design )with 9+ years of experience in relevant fields. Working knowledge of IEC 62366 and HE 75 Guidelines. Excellent Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English (verbal and written). A positive attitude, innovative and creative thinker. Strong project planning and management skills. Follows all process and documentation needs as per BSC SOP's and is ethical in business practices across the team and peers. Experience in working with global and virtual team and working in a cross-cultural environment.
