Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Machine Learning Engineer in our AI CoE, you will play a key role in turning ideas into impactful solutions. You will be working with state-of-the-art (SOTA) artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to apply your deep theoretical and hands-on skills within this high-paced field.
This is an engineering‑focused role where you will explore and shape ideas into mature, robust solutions. From the outset, you will factor in architecture, software quality, backend integration, and performance to deliver fully functioning prototypes – stable and refined enough to serve as a concrete step toward the final product. They will clearly showcase our work to stakeholders and more importantly enable authentic, unbiased feedback from users.
In this explorative, team-driven environment, you’ll continually expand your expertise in ML/AI and software engineering while learning from – and contributing to – a diverse pool of talented colleagues.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role, you will be responsible for bridging SOTA AI/ML research with practical engineering, ensuring our ideas become reliable, real-world solutions. You will work hands-on with data, models, and prototypes, and collaborate across functions to turn innovation into impact.

Your role will be focused on:

  • Design, develop, and refine complete AI-/ML-driven solutions and -algorithms for hearing technology solutions
  • Build and validate prototypes, optimizing for accuracy, latency, and efficiency
  • Investigate and apply state-of-the-art AI/ML methods, frameworks, and tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in AI CoE, R&D, Product, and Engineering
  • Support patenting of innovative ideas and features where relevant
  • Contribute and embrace best practices within ML Ops and general DevOps, such as version control incl. modern PR workflows, CI/CD, scalable deployment pipelines, etc.
