Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Material Engineer to oversee material selection, testing, and quality control across infrastructure and construction projects. The role ensures that all materials used meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and performance requirements, contributing to the overall quality and durability of the works. Key Responsibilities Review and approve material submittals in line with project specifications and standards. Oversee material testing, inspection, and certification processes. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams on material-related matters. Monitor material usage and ensure suitability for project conditions and applications. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify material quality and storage practices. Investigate material-related issues and recommend corrective actions. Maintain records of material approvals, test results, and compliance documentation. Support continuous improvement in material quality and performance across projects. Key Requirements Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in materials engineering within similar projects. Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing standards, and quality control procedures. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects. Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and material approval processes. Rail project experience is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Middle East, particularly UAE, is an advantage. Professional certifications related to materials engineering or quality assurance are preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
