Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in the design and integration of rotary compressor systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design, component selection, and layout of equipment within skid-mounted units, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with rotating equipment, and the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance, safe, and reliable systems  Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design and integration of rotary compressors and auxiliary systems within skid packages Select and specify mechanical components (e.g., valves, piping, couplings, dampers, supports, instrumentation) based on process requirements and environmental conditions Works together with 3D Model Engineer to create k-docs for contract (P&IDs, GA drawings, and 3D models) Ensure compliance with relevant standards (API, ASME, ISO) and client specifications Coordinate with process, electrical, and structural engineers to ensure seamless skid layout and functionality Support procurement activities by preparing technical datasheets and evaluating vendor proposals Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and FAT/SAT inspections with customers Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Key Competencies Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering 3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects involving rotary compressors and skid-mounted equipment Strong knowledge of mechanical component selection, rotating machinery, and system integration Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and familiarity with 3D modeling workflows Understanding of fluid dynamics, vibration analysis, and thermal considerations in compressor systems Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus  What we Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact energy projects with global clients Competitive compensation and benefits package Professional development and training    Ingersoll Rand Inc.
