Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on networking expertise, strong architecture and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead complex projects across diverse client environments. The ideal candidate thrives in an MSP setting, communicates with confidence, and enjoys designing secure, scalable, and resilient networks using modern technologies such as Ubiquiti, Fortinet, and Cisco Meraki. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructures across multiple client environments (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and security appliances). Serve as a senior escalation point for complex networking issues, performance problems, and multi-site connectivity challenges. Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot: Ubiquiti UniFi switching, wireless, routing, and controller platforms Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), SD-WAN, security profiles, VPNs, and high-availability clusters Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless, cellular gateways, and dashboard-based networks Conduct network assessments, document existing topology, identify risks, and propose remediation or improvement plans. Implement best practices for security hardening, segmentation, traffic shaping, and monitoring. Lead network-related projects, including new deployments, migrations, site expansions, and large Wi-Fi installations. Utilize RMM and monitoring tools to track network health, respond to alerts, and proactively address issues. Maintain accurate documentation, including diagrams, configuration backups, inventory, and SOPs. Collaborate closely with clients, account managers, and internal technical teams to deliver reliable and professional service. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours escalations and urgent incidents. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of professional networking experience; MSP experience strongly preferred. Advanced experience with at least two of the following—expertise in all three is ideal: Ubiquiti UniFi Fortinet FortiGate / FortiManager / FortiSwitch / FortiAP Cisco Meraki (MX/MS/MR/Systems Manager) Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching & routing VLANs, STP, LACP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS Wireless design and RF fundamentals IPSec & SSL VPN, SD-WAN, firewall policies, and security profiles Ability to create network diagrams, write documentation, and follow change management processes. Proficiency with ticketing and time management systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently on complex issues. Cisco, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ certifications are a plus. Experience with ConnectWise, NinjaRMM, or similar MSP tools preferred. Zabbix monitoring experience is a plus. Work Schedule Primarily in-office role with some work-from-home flexibility.
