Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Take responsibilities for Ceramic product development, support manufacturing as well as technical issues. The work will involve new projects, engineering, 3D modelling, design analysis, drafting, local supplier and customer communication, prototype building, product testing, production support and product documentation. Provide technical assistance to companywide departments as well as to Coherent ceramics transfer projects. Provide technical expertise in the field of precision machining and manufacturing such as multi- milling, EDM, precision grinding, finishing processes, CNC precision machining operation for technical problem solving, process troubleshooting and new part or vendor qualification for supplies and raw materials. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing technology or equivalent specialization. 5+ years’ experience in design modelling, precision machining and CAD/CAM/CNC techniques. CAD,CAM/CAE software: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, MasterCAM, ANSYS… Knowledge of CNC precision machining, advanced manufacturing processes, material science, local supplier-capabilities. Manufacturing facilities, including equipment design, facilities. Experience with product design/ process design per ISO 9001. Experience with QA-tools (SPC, FMEA, Problem Solving, PVC…) Experience with documentation and ERP system (engineering change request, waiver/ deviation) Skills • Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes. • Capability to successfully work with employees in a multi-cultural, global team environment • Ability to handle multiple priorities and issues involving external and internal priorities • Good interpersonal, communication skills, participates in meetings, expresses opinions, offers ideas and listens effectively • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
