Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Nuclear Safety. Your position in the organization is in the Nuclear Safety team of Engineering & Projects (E&P) business area, located in Espoo, Finland. The Nuclear Safety team has a wide range of different competencies which are utilized in supporting safe and efficient operations of our co-owned nuclear units, external nuclear customers, and the development of new nuclear and nuclear R&D activities in Fortum.

Your responsibilities may include the following areas determined based on your experience:

  • Nuclear newbuild projects: evaluation of plant concepts, dialogue with regulators and writing licensing documentation
  • Owner’s engineering – supporting utilities in new build projects

To succeed and thrive in this role you have:

  • A university level degree e.g. in energy engineering, or physics.
  • Knowledge and experience in nuclear safety in newbuild projects
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • You are required to have excellent English language skills. Finnish and Swedish are a plus
