We’re working with a leading contractor delivering a major infrastructure and superstructure project on the outskirts of Bristol, and we’re now looking to appoint a Senior Engineer to take a key leadership role on site.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or Section Engineer role
• Strong civils/infrastructure background, ideally including superstructure
• Confident leading and directing site teams
• Ability to manage quality, documentation, and client relations
• Familiarity with Lyca instruments desirable
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and relevant engineering qualifications

THE ROLE

As Senior Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading all engineering aspects across road infrastructure, drainage, and utilities, moving into superstructure as the metal deck progresses. This is a leadership-focused role – no setting out – with oversight of temporary works, quality assurance, and material coordination.
You’ll play a central part in ensuring packages are delivered on time and to spec, working closely with the site team, design leads, and the client.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and coordinate civils and infrastructure packages
• Oversee temporary works, drainage, and services
• Drive programme delivery, quality, and traceability
• Manage and mentor a team of 8 engineers
• Coordinate with design teams (technical support provided remotely)
• Interface with client and wider project stakeholders
• Ensure materials and sequencing are proactively managed
