Description
Responsibilities Develop, calibrate, and maintain advanced passenger behaviour simulation models across multiple transportation modes, including rail, bus, air, and urban mobility systems. Apply both static and dynamic modelling techniques, integrating data-driven insights such as demographics, user preferences, and crowd dynamics to improve accuracy and realism. Validate, test, and document simulation models to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as data scientists, software developers, and project managers—to integrate models into products and project deliverables. Prepare clear technical reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate modelling results and insights to clients and stakeholders. Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, tailor simulation approaches, and provide technical support throughout implementation. Monitor emerging trends and research in passenger behaviour and modelling techniques to continuously improve methodologies. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional development. Foster collaboration across WSP within India and globally. Train and mentor junior staff. Other duties as assigned/required.
