Job Description Summary of the Role: As a Senior Engineer, Process Engineering, you will lead sputter process operations from system start-up through conversion, ensuring stable, compliant processes and strong documentation. You will drive continuous improvement to maximize utilization, yield, quality, and cost efficiency through data-driven audits, SPC monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will develop technical teams, manage new product, equipment, and process qualifications, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve yield, strengthen magnetic media baselines, mitigate risk through FMEA, and ensure adherence to safety and health standards. Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities: Plan, coordinate, and oversee sputter systems start-up and conversion activities, including process documentation Lead and execute process improvement projects to enhance sputter utilization, yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness Conduct regular audits of sputter parameters and practices, including online SPC monitoring and procedure conformance Spearhead troubleshooting efforts for sputter process-related issues, working closely with shift process teams to achieve utilization and quality goals Supervise, coach, and train process technicians, engineering specialists, and characterization technicians Manage new product, machine, and process qualifications, including process characterization Develop and implement strategies to improve media magnetic baseline and process stability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive yield improvement initiatives Contribute to FMEA processes and other risk mitigation strategies Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations in all operations Qualifications Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study. Atleast 3 years of professional experience in the relevant field. Experience with process improvement methodologies and project management. Industry exposure in the Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Skills and Competency Requirements: Strong knowledge of sputter systems, vacuum technology, and related manufacturing processes Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other quality control tool. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques. Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques Leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring teams Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in manufacturing setting. Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Proficiency in relevant software tools and manufacturing systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
