Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and prototype innovative cosmetic packaging mechanisms and dispensing systems, considering functionality, reliability, user experience, manufacturability, cost, quality, and sustainability requirements. Create and optimize 3D CAD models using SolidWorks and validate concepts through rapid prototyping, 3D printing, testing, and user feedback. Lead engineering activities throughout the concept development process, including mechanical design reviews, technical feasibility assessments, and design refinements. Support tooling development by overseeing engineering requirements, conducting functional testing, and implementing design adjustments to enhance product performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Packaging Development, Product Innovation, Formulation, Marketing, and New Product Development to transform product requirements into feasible technical solutions. Drive innovation by proposing new packaging concepts, dispensing systems, and technology applications aligned with the company’s innovation roadmap. Research and evaluate emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing capabilities to identify opportunities for future packaging innovations. Partner with external vendors and suppliers to explore, develop, and implement innovative packaging solutions. Apply design thinking and rapid prototyping methodologies to accelerate concept development and innovation projects. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines. Minimum 5 years of experience in OEM product design, mechanical engineering, product development, or related fields. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, product development processes, and prototyping techniques. Experience conducting design validation, functional testing, and engineering problem-solving activities. Good command of spoken and written English. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with global and cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Skills Technical Skills Experience in rapid prototyping, innovation projects, and concept development. Knowledge of plastic injection molding, dispensing systems, and consumer product manufacturing processes. Experience in cosmetic packaging, beauty products, small appliances, smartphone accessories, or related industries. Familiarity with translating product requirements and formulation constraints into practical engineering solutions. Soft Skills Strong creative thinking and innovation mindset. Hands-on approach with a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Language Skills Fluent English communication skills. Mandarin and/or Cantonese language capability is a plus. Preferred Industry Experience Experience in innovation, prototyping, or new product development environments. Background in cosmetic packaging, dispensing systems, plastic products, or consumer goods industries.
