Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Engineer - QA/QC to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead quality assurance and quality control initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of software excellence. You will be responsible for designing comprehensive testing strategies, managing test execution, and driving continuous improvement in our quality processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages Execute both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments to identify defects and ensure product quality Analyze test results and defect reports, providing detailed documentation and recommendations for resolution Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases Manage defect tracking and prioritization using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution Develop and optimize performance and load testing strategies to validate system scalability and reliability Conduct API testing and database validation to ensure data integrity and system functionality Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the development of testing best practices and standards Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline optimization Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate quality status to stakeholders Stay current with emerging testing technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance team capabilities Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in QA/QC engineering or software testing Advanced proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies and best practices Hands-on experience with defect tracking and management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar) Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles Demonstrated expertise in test case design, execution, and documentation Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent) Proficiency in API testing and RESTful web services validation Working knowledge of SQL and database testing techniques Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative team environments Preferred: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments Preferred: Knowledge of mobile application testing frameworks and methodologies Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Preferred: Experience mentoring or leading QA teams Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
