Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for measurement and testing equipment * Analyze current measurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement in accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency * Modify and upgrade existing test systems, fixtures, and measurement devices * Develop and maintain control software (PLC, LabVIEW, Python, etc.) for automated measurement systems * Integrate sensors, data acquisition systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP) * Define technical specifications and requirements for new or upgraded measurement systems * Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to measurement systems and automation equipment * Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to define measurement requirements and improvement plans * Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) related to measurement processes * Ensure compliance with internal standards, calibration requirements, and industry regulations * Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, work instructions, and validation reports * Support equipment qualification, validation, and calibration activities * Keep confidential for technical data Education & Experience * Bachelor’s / master’s degree in automation, electronic, mechatronic engineering or related field. * At least 5 years with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree in similar role at international manufacturing company. Skills * Strong knowledge of measurement systems, sensors, and data acquisition * Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) or automation software tools * Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar * Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart factory concepts * Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above) is a plus * Knowledge of robotics is a plus * Experience with industrial communication protocols and control systems integration * Experience with industrial communication protocols and control systems integration * Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motion control systems, and machine vision * Understanding of MSA (Measurement System Analysis), calibration, and quality standards is preferred * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in cross-functional teams * Good communication skills in English.
