Our Ireland Roads Team currently has a vacancy for a Senior Roads Engineer/ Consultant within our Cork office following continued growth of the workload and the team.
The successful candidate will have a good grounding in road engineering design, urban design, and project management. They should be ready to take the next step in their career taking on responsibility for delivery and co-ordination of projects and design packages on complex road and Active Travel infrastructure projects. They will have the ability to deal directly with clients and fill a key project co-ordination position within the wider team leading graduate engineers, technicians, and supporting disciplines to deliver successfully.
The candidate will be expected to lead and deliver on our portfolio of active travel or greenway schemes where there will be opportunity for significant progression where the right candidate will grow into a design lead and project manager role. The candidate will also be involved in the delivery of key major roads packages for our national road’s schemes.
They will have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team developing a range of local, national, and international road schemes or similar major civil engineering projects and will have been directly responsible for delivering scheme design packages, and co-ordinating input from other disciplines. The candidate will ideally have experience of working on urban schemes and dealing with the associated challenges.
The Cork Roads team works both locally and across the UK & I market. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international highway and infrastructure improvements across significant delivery programmes for major Clients, including BusConnects in Dublin and Cork, major Greenway projects, multiple active travel and bus priority schemes with various local authorities in Ireland.
