Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Roads to join our team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex road infrastructure projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Develop and oversee the design of road infrastructure projects, including highways, intersections, and urban streets
  • Conduct detailed site investigations and analyze data to inform design decisions
  • Utilize advanced road design software to create comprehensive engineering plans and specifications
  • Perform traffic analysis and capacity studies to optimize road network performance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with local and international road design standards, with a focus on UAE regulations
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation
  • Participate in client meetings and present design concepts and solutions
  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovative technologies, and sustainable practices in road engineering

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in road engineering and design, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Advanced proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
  • Strong skills in traffic analysis tools and project management
  • In-depth knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and transportation planning principles
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessments for road projects
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with UAE road design standards and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior staff
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
