THE OPPORTUNITY

Our established Ground Engineering Team are seeking an experienced Rock Mechanics engineer to join the team in London on a hybrid basis! This role will be part of a growing team working on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, predominantly in the energy sector, but also supporting highways, rail and water projects. The candidate should have a proven track record in rock mechanics design, working within multidisciplinary design teams. We are looking for a highly technical candidate, preferably with a PhD, who can work at the cutting edge of 3D modelling (3DEC) to solve complex technical problems.

Requirements

  • Relevant undergraduate degree, preferably with a rock mechanics related PhD.
  • Chartered (MICE, FGS or equivalent).
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • A background in a client-facing role
Responsibilities

In addition to technical input to projects, the candidate will be required to help us grow our wider rock mechanics capability, with the aim of developing specialist rock mechanics teams in offices outside London. The candidate must have an ability to work with minimum supervision and be keen to provide guidance and mentoring of less experienced staff.
