Description:
Responsibilities:
Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to support one of our customers at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.
The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:
- Performs tasks with little or no guidance or leads the execution of complex tasks.
- Has demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise. Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan and design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
- Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a master’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university or a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or scientific field from an accredited college or university plus an additional four (4) years o recent and relevant experience
- Must have ten (10) or more years or more recent and relevant experience which three (3) of the ten (10) must be directly related to DoD systems
- Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is require
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must be a US Citizen
