Overview:
Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions and communications systems that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking a Experienced Senior Engineer/Architect to manage application processes and maintenance for complex conceptual data at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role requires expertise in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL Server, with responsibilities including software maintenance and system enhancements. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts for applications managing complex conceptual data in C#, .NET, and SQL Serverenvironments.
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, including queries, stored procedures, and indexingstrategies for performance tuning.
  • Conduct research and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Expertise in React, .NET, SQL Server, and Angular development.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues efficiently.
  • Experience in leading application conversions and modernizing legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
  • Support software integration and compatibility across various platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering with 12+ years of experience or equivalent professionalexperience
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Strong knowledge of software maintenance methodologies, including DevOps.
  • Proficiency in SQL database management, query optimization, and stored procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks is a plus.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
  • Familiarity with IoT, embedded systems, and real-time data processing.
