Your responsibilities include:

Planning, design and further development of highly available optical transport networks based on modern DWDM technologies
Analysis of customer requirements in the wholesale and enterprise environments, and development of customized technical solutions.
Creation and responsibility for cost calculations (CAPEX/OPEX) including hardware, fiber and external line costs as a basis for customer offers.
Evaluation of new WDM platforms and technologies, execution of proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and management of the introduction of next-generation technologies such as coherent transmission systems and ROADM architectures.
Monitoring of network utilization as well as proactive planning of capacity expansions and technology upgrades
Taking over 3rd-level support for complex fault patterns and close cooperation with manufacturers and technology partners.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards in the KRITIS and NIS-2 environments, including support during audits and implementation of technical and organizational compliance requirements.
Promoting knowledge transfer within the team as well as providing professional support and mentoring to colleagues.
