Description

Our client, a leading contractor in the Construction sector, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer for a large-scale pharmaceutical fit-out project based in Longford. This role offers up to 2 years of continuous project work, with a clear pathway to Project Management for the right candidate. The successful individual will play a key role in the technical delivery of the project, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all engineering aspects are executed to the highest standards. The preferred candidate will have strong experience in pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project engineering role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or cleanroom sector.
  • Strong understanding of GMP standards and cleanroom protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage technical aspects of large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland and availability for a Longford-based role.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering coordination of the pharmaceutical fit-out project from design through to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Provide engineering solutions to on-site challenges and technical queries.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support procurement and manage the delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report regularly to the Project Manager and contribute to project planning and strategy.
