Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Salary: £40,748+ dependant on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

• Computer Aided Design experience
• A background in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
• A minimum of HNC qualification

Desirable:

• Experienced in CAD – Preferably SolidWorks
• Experience working within the Submarine sector
• Defence related design experience

• Produce technical guidance documentation for In-Service Submarine Alterations and Additions, Class Modifications, and Minor Trials, ensuring adherence to all aspects of the MOD design change process KP 2.31
• Carry out investigation and review of technical design change information/proposals and feedback findings to both internal and external stakeholders
• Carry out design change Safety & Environmental Assessment documentation review for both In-Service and Build community Submarines
• Provide input to training courses to support learning from experience, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety and quality culture
• Conduct trend analysis of incidents, events and present the findings from completed investigations to identify themes and trends
