Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are always looking forward. Join us in one of our engineering teams and, as well as maintaining legacy assets, you’ll deliver new systems and solutions. There’s more to it than tubes, roads, buildings, and bridges. This is about connecting communities and creating opportunities, so we’re ready for the 21st century and beyond.
Transport for London (TfL) is looking for an experienced Systems Performance Engineer to join our Systems Performance & Integration team to help shape the future of TfL’s assets and infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of projects and modes of transportation.

You will be able to undertake systems modelling and use specialised system modelling & simulation tools in both Windows and Linux/Unix-based operating environment.
You will be involved with reducing costs by optimising capital investment, scope, asset utilisation, system design, Journey Time, energy consumption, traction power optimisations, enhancing system capacity and reliability by identifying and developing solutions to mitigate system constraints and points of failure.
The role also involves building confidence by continuing to verify and validate system designs and integrate the railway sub-systems to enable the desired performance outcome and improving sustainability by assessing and monitoring the customer environment to inform system technical solutions.
Working alongside our team of Engineers you will help to create a culture of continuous improvement through the identification of best practice, innovation, whole life cost optimisation and effective root cause analysis.
