MISSION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a capable and highly motivated Team Lead for our Developer Platform team to enable rapid and safe software delivery by providing a unified, efficient and reliable platform for all developers at Motional. You will lead a team of talented engineers that focuses on improving the engineering experience and developer productivity of teams in Motional by providing them with the necessary tools and processes. You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to identify pain points and drive initiatives that empower teams to deliver on Motional’s mission.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Lead a team of Software/Platform Engineers in Singapore, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Lead the Engineering Enablement and Productivity function of the Developer Platform group - defining strategy, setting KPIs and reporting on progress.
• Architect, design and develop tools and systems that optimizes the development lifecycle, including developer portals, build systems, toolchains and code quality tools and internal libraries.
• Architect, design and build the next generation of productivity metrics reporting system
• Work closely with engineering teams around the world (US, Singapore) to understand their needs, identify pain-points and lead initiatives to improve their development workflows.
• Partner with DevOps/SRE team to develop and maintain automation, services and bots to reduce developer toil.
• Work with domain experts across the organization to establish and promote best practices for software
