JOB SUMMARY:

TechServ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a PE license and substantial experience in the Utility Industry. As an Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client-specific standards, and providing expert guidance on engineering designs and solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 5-7 years of experience in the utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Proficient in engineering design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior experience in project management is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing are required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee engineering projects from receival through to successful completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality deliverables.
  • Review, approve, and validate engineering designs, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility within.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of electrical concepts, industry practices, codes, and procedures specific to the utility sector.
  • Provide leadership and expert guidance to the joint use engineering team, mentoring and developing less experienced engineers and designers.
  • Prepare, present, and communicate technical reports, proposals, and findings to stakeholders.
  • Lead the QA/QC process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication across design disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with client and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leadership and team members to support and drive internal change initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness.
