Job Description: As a Senior Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions across TJX Australia’s Stores, Support Office, and Processing Centre. This role demands a high level of autonomy, initiative, and accountability. You’ll lead infrastructure projects, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and work closely with cross-functional and global teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing systems. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Design & Implementation Independently architect and deploy scalable, secure infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Project Leadership Take full ownership of infrastructure projects, driving them from concept to completion while aligning with business goals and timelines. Vendor Management Manage vendor relationships and resources, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services with minimal oversight. Security & Compliance Ensure infrastructure adheres to security policies, standards, and best practices through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate effectively with application development, security, and service management teams to deliver integrated solutions. Operational Excellence Maintain high-quality documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to support efficient and reliable IT operations. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive outcomes without close supervision Strong expertise in networking (MPLS, SD-WAN), virtualization (VMware), storage, and server technologies Solid understanding of ITIL practices and incident/problem/change management Experience with cloud technologies (Azure) and managing hybrid environments Hands-on experience with configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and access points Proven ability to manage technical projects with multiple stakeholders Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Experience with delivery and management of Internet Circuits Experience with JIRA and Confluence and familiar with DevSecOps best practices Demonstrated experience with vendor management Preferred Skills Experience with solution design and implementation Strong knowledge of Windows administration including Active Directory Experience managing infrastructure within small to medium-sized on-premise and cloud data centres Experience mentoring others and fostering a culture of self-leadership and continuous improvement Why Join Us?
