We are seeking an Experienced Engineer – TPA to take on a key technical and delivery leadership role, contributing to the successful delivery of complex transport and infrastructure projects with a strong focus on traffic engineering, operational performance and road safety outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to lead and support the analysis, design and assessment of traffic engineering solutions, including large-scale traffic impact assessments, intersection and network modelling (e.g. SIDRA) and applied road safety analysis. You will apply sound professional judgement and project management capability while working closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, practical and defensible outcomes, consistent with regulatory and safety requirements. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Lead the planning, analysis and design of transport engineering solutions on complex projects, including traffic impact assessments, intersection and network performance analysis, applying sound engineering judgement to deliver practical, compliant and high‑quality outcomes. Take ownership of allocated work packages, applying project management principles to manage scope, programme, risk and quality, and deliver outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets. Work closely with clients, internal teams and stakeholders to support coordinated project delivery, support effective working relationships, and help resolve technical, approval and delivery challenges. Contribute to the commercial success of projects through efficient technical delivery, support to proposals and continuous improvement initiatives across the traffic discipline. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem‑solving, quality of outputs and application of traffic operations and road safety principles, including crash analysis, Safe System Assessments and Road Safety Auditing, within project teams. About You You are an experienced traffic engineer who takes ownership of your work, enjoys leading technical outcomes within projects, and is motivated to continue developing your expertise in traffic operations and road safety while supporting high‑quality delivery in a collaborative consulting environment. Suitable applicants will be/have: Tertiary degree in Engineering or equivalent RPEQ Strong professional experience in the Transport Industry Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to support client, authority and approval-focused relationships Sound commercial awareness, including understanding of project delivery and budgeting Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex traffic, operational and safety information clearly Demonstrated project management capability, including management of scope, programme and quality Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Austroads Guidelines and state-specific requirements related to traffic engineering and road safety Sound ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment Adaptable, proactive and committed to continuous learning Strong organisational and the ability to manage competing priorities Why Join Us?
