Description We are seeking a high-impact Senior Engineer to drive the development and sustainment of next-generation Navy Weapons Systems. You will serve as a technical linchpin, bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and Navy Acquisition Processes. Working directly with the Integrated Program Team Lead (IPTL), you’ll influence the entire lifecycle of critical defense assets—from pre-Milestone A analysis to high-stakes rapid acquisition and legacy sustainment. Responsibilities Integrate new capabilities; define gaps and requirements; develop specifications, technical documentation, and roadmaps; and coordinate engineering activities through design, integration, test, and fielding phases Analyze manufacturer proposals; conduct trade studies and technical reviews; and provide risk management insight. Collaborate with Government personnel, contractor teams, and subject-matter experts to ensure effective technical execution and alignment with program objectives. Apply expertise in DoDI 5000.02 to guide weapons systems through various acquisition phases. Proactively resolve technical and procedural conflicts to keep development on track and efficient Requirements At least 10 years of engineering experience in the relevant discipline (e.g., MBSE, Software Engineering, Avionics, Communications/Datalinks, EW). Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constraint and complex security environment utilizing multiple networks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products; experience with MBSE tools (e.g., CAMEO, IBM Rhapsody) where applicable; strong communication skills; experience in dynamic, schedule-constrained environments. A self-starter mindset capable of pivoting between early-stage R&D and the sustainment of legacy systems. The ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point). Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
