The role We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer wishing to further develop a long-term career with an industry leader. You will work closely with our other specialists in the Water Resources team predominantly on NSW projects, however you will also support the wider ANZ business. We are open to the location of this role including Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane. SMEC’s Water Resources team works across a diverse portfolio of projects including flood risk management, waterway management, urban water management and/or rural/irrigation water management. We have a solid pipeline of interesting and challenging projects and an excellent team culture where you will further develop broad capabilities. With a minimum of 6+ years’ experience, your core responsibilities include: Technical assessments and design to support water resource management projects Ensure that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC Proactively collaborate with appropriate team members, clients and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner. With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
