We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in water infrastructure design to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the design and implementation of various water and wet utilities projects across the Middle East region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable water infrastructure solutions that address the unique challenges faced in the region.

  • Lead and contribute to the design and technical delivery of water infrastructure projects, including potable water, stormwater, foul sewerage, and irrigation networks.
  • Undertake hydrological assessments, hydraulic modelling, and wet utilities design in accordance with international and regional standards.
  • Support project managers in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Prepare design reports, specifications, drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and present technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with WSP’s quality management system and health & safety standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Engineering (Master’s degree desirable).
  • Around 6-8 years of relevant experience in water infrastructure design, with a focus on hydrology or wet utilities.
  • Proven experience in delivering designs for large-scale water projects in consultancy or engineering environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydrological modelling tools and wet utilities design software (e.g., InfoWorks, EPANET, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Previous Middle East experience strongly preferred.
  • Chartered status (or working towards) with a recognized engineering institution is an advantage.
