Key Responsibilities: Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Champion Safety & Reliability: Lead safety as a core value, ensuring injury prevention while driving business results and fostering a belief that all equipment failures are preventable. Technical Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of PLC/CNC machine controls and electrical equipment monitoring to enhance operational performance. Boost Uptime & Reliability: Improve machinery reliability by measuring uptime, implementing predictive and preventive maintenance via SAP, and maximizing plant process capability. Lean Leadership: Build organizational capability using lean tools like 6S, TPM, standardized work, and rapid cycle improvements to drive continuous improvement. Strategic Project & Vendor Management: Oversee multiple projects with a focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and resource allocation; manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships. Develop Talent & Ensure Compliance: Grow technical skills within your team and collaborate with EHS to meet all regulatory requirements for equipment and machinery. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Maintenance, with a strong track record of reliability improvement and technical leadership Basic knowledge of Lean Management techniques, with an understanding of how to apply tools like 6S, TPM, and standardized work to drive process improvements and operational efficiency A self-starter with a go-getter attitude who thrives on solving challenges and driving results A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building positive working relationships Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
