The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Engineering Compliance Analyst to join their team. This position can be located in Hazelwood, MO; Seal Beach CA; Mesa, AZ; Tukwila, WA; Everett, WA. or Ridley Park, PA.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative problem solver, demonstrate a global mentality, and be adaptable to changing needs. This person will have a history of resilience in fast paced environments, will be skilled at US export trade control regulations, and versatile in all forms of communication.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years in engineering experience involving the design and development of complex commodities
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Master’s degree in related fields of aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience
  • Familiarity with export compliance practices
  • Familiarity with export classification practices

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance to engineering partners involving export classification of commodities (hardware, technical data, and software)
  • Define classification procedures and requirements
  • Develop references and training materials
  • Support analysis of engineering data relationships to facilitate export classification activities
  • Support engineering partners with compliance data normalization and quality initiatives
  • Provide support to engineering partners involving licensing and compliance of export-controlled commodities (e.g. technical data/technology, hardware, software)
  • Provide strategic compliance guidance to engineering partners involving international sourcing and work placement to include strategy development, licensing, and export compliance practices
  • Support engineering export compliance audits/analysis

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Develop, plan and implement strategic solutions in support of enterprise objectives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and provide comprehensive regulatory and policy solutions to enhance strategic alliance
  • Partner on initiatives with regulators in a collaborative environment
  • Develop and deploy regulatory documentation for high profile activity with significant business risk and/or sensitive policy issues involving multiple programs, agencies and authorization types
  • Analyze applicability of global trade control requirements
  • Lead teams in the development and improvement of enterprise processes and procedures
  • Participate in industry advocacy groups and supports governmental engagement
