The Role As a Senior Engineering Manager at WizCommerce, you will lead and scale multiple engineering squads (15–20+ engineers) building AI-native commerce applications. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI/ML product development with strategic team leadership. You'll own end-to-end delivery of AI-powered features across our product suite—from WizStudio's generative image capabilities to KAI's intelligent sales assistant—ensuring applications are performant, scalable, and deliver transformative value to customers. Scale engineering from 15 to 30+ engineers; establish hiring strategies and talent pipelines. Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence. AI Application Delivery Own roadmap and execution of AI-powered features across WizStudio, KAI, WizOrder, and WizShop. Architect real-time AI experiences: generative image workflows, conversational AI with function calling, RAG-powered recommendations, and agentic workflows. Design AI integration patterns—streaming responses (SSE/WebSockets), inference caching, prompt management, graceful degradation. Technical Strategy Define full-stack architecture for AI-first applications—frontend state management, API design for model serving, real-time data sync. Lead decisions on LLM gateway patterns, multi-provider routing, inference cost optimization, and latency targets. Balance technical debt with feature velocity; ensure sustainable code health. Engineering Excellence Champion CI/CD, automated testing, feature flags for AI rollouts, and observability. Establish SLOs for AI performance—p95/p99 latency, model accuracy, cost-per-inference. Build monitoring for AI systems—model drift detection, latency degradation, token usage anomalies. What You'll Build Scale WizStudio's generative image pipeline to 10x volume with improved quality and reduced latency. Launch KAI 2.0 with agentic capabilities—autonomous order creation, intelligent follow-ups, proactive engagement. Build WizAgent foundation—multi-agent orchestration for autonomous B2B transactions. Reduce AI inference costs by 40% through caching, batching, and model routing optimization. Must-Have Qualifications Experience: 8–10 years of professional engineering experience with 4+ years managing teams of 10+ engineers in high-growth SaaS or technology companies. AI/ML Product Experience: Shipped AI-powered features in production—LLM integrations, generative AI, RAG systems, or intelligent automation. Full Stack Depth: Hands-on expertise in Python (FastAPI), React/React Native, TypeScript, and cloud-native architectures. AI Integration Architecture: Experience with model serving APIs, streaming responses, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and prompt engineering at scale. Cloud & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of GCP/AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, GPU workloads, and DevOps practices.
