Job Description Summary We are seeking a technically strong, strategic Engineering Manager to lead a software team in the Maternal and Infant Care (MIC) Engineering organization. As Functional Manager, you will guide your team through advanced software design, development, integration, and product delivery for MIC products. You will align technical execution with cross-functional priorities, balancing stakeholder inputs from Product, Systems, Service, and Verification teams, while focusing on robust, scalable software solutions. You will also drive talent development and global collaboration to advance the MIC roadmap. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead and develop the team, including recruitment, mentoring, and skill enhancement. Prioritization and Allocation of resources to deliver the MIC roadmap. Optimize team output and predictability through effective strategies(AI, Tool integration, Automation, . . .). Foster continuous improvement in systems and processes across global teams. Promote a culture of customer focus, innovation, urgency, and transparency. Ensure product and process quality, reliability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Champion Agile software development practices. Inspire and Encourage team participation throughout product development phases. Collaborate with peers across engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and quality functions. Support existing products in manufacturing, sourcing, service, and supplier quality. Lead creative solutions for complex product and system design challenges. Execute the digital product portfolio roadmap for MIC. Drive a culture based on GEHC operating principles Uphold compliance and product quality within the GEHC Quality Management System. Demonstrate accountability and communication to drive innovation and collaboration globally. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Embedded Software Engineering or related STEM field. 12+ years in embedded software product development. 3+ years leading teams or managing programs. 5+ years in medical product development across global teams. Proven ability to deliver results across multiple projects. Strong embedded software engineering skills. Deep understanding of secure software development. Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, Ability to energize and inspire. Knowledge of regulated healthcare industry and global standards. Experience planning and executing complex product development cycles. Desired Characteristics Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Embedded Software Engineering/related STEM degree. Prior knowledge and domain expertise in Maternal Infant care products. Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change. Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues.
