About this Position The Engineering Manager Process Safety ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operations across Henkel Adhesives APAC by leading risk assessments, implementing PSM systems, promoting safety culture, and collaborating cross-functionally to manage process safety risks throughout the production lifecycle and facility design. What you´ll do Establish and maintain site-specific Process Safety Management (PSM) systems aligned with Henkel Global standards and local regulations. Lead and facilitate risk assessments using methodologies like HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, and more. Maintain and periodically review the Basis of Safety (BoS) documentation and associated risk studies. Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, identify failed barriers, and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report process safety KPIs, including PSI and PSNM.Provide guidance during Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure readiness of Process Safety Critical Equipment (PSCE). Conduct audits, inspections, and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs). Support engineering teams with RAGAGEP interpretation and safeguard design. Coordinate advanced safety studies (e.g., QRA, DHA, SIL verification). Develop and deliver process safety training. Act as the regional focal point for process safety matters and regulatory compliance. What makes you a good fit Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical, Mechanical, Process Safety preferred). Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, NEBOSH, Certified Functional Safety Engineer) are advantageous. Minimum 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience with strong knowledge in process safety disciplines. Proficient in at least 3 key areas: hazard analysis, risk assessment, explosion safety, incident investigation, etc. Familiar with global safety standards and regulations (OSHA PSM, Seveso III, ISO, API, IEC, etc.). Skilled in using safety tools like BowTie XP, PHAST, SAFETI, TapRoot®, etc. Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Passionate about process safety and continuous improvement.
