This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager in Europe. In this role, you will lead and inspire multiple cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will oversee scrum squads, align technical execution with business objectives, and act as a bridge between engineering, product, and business teams. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving, offering the opportunity to shape engineering practices, mentor talented engineers, and influence long-term technology decisions in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment. Accountabilities Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Oversee cross-functional scrum squads to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Hire, onboard, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain and grow top-tier engineering talent. Manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and maintain motivation across distributed teams. Identify technical risks and roadblocks, driving problem-solving and process improvements. Align engineering goals with overall business strategy, contributing to long-term roadmap planning. Collaborate with product and business teams to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment on technical objectives. Continuously evaluate and implement best practices in software engineering, cloud platforms, and DevOps. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Proven track record of building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience managing multiple scrum teams. Hands-on experience with modern software development technologies, frameworks, and cloud platforms. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Experience in risk management, problem resolution, and process optimization. Excellent verbal and written English. Bonus: experience managing distributed or global teams, SaaS environments, data-driven decision-making, TypeScript, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
