Acts as a lead within the COU business segment(s)/region to promote consistency and operational excellence by assisting the Director with more regionally focused work and/or supporting a team of Engineering Managers. Responsible for P/L activities, budget development, leading & driving initiatives, marketing campaigns, development of tools, and driving process efficiencies to grow business segments. Leads and executes operational strategy across the COU segment(s)/region to drive growth and financial results while ensuring customer satisfaction within a highly matrixed organization. Assures that their teams, as well as the teams managed by other People Managers within the COU, meet overall financial targets (revenue, profit, enterprise value, etc.) while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. Has a deep knowledge of the strategies, needs of the customer, and competition, in order to provide the right services; partners with BU/COU leadership to build and to successfully align resources. Responsible for identifying opportunities to grow the business across the region by working with customers to understand the market and identify new ways to generate profitable revenue by supporting new and innovative products and encouraging team to do the same. Responsible for leading a high-performance culture by managing the performance, development, and engagement of team leaders and team members and assuring alignment with the overall strategy of the Business and the Enterprise. Responsible for leading and collaborating with multi-functional teams to drive initiatives to provide broader service offerings. Partners with Lab, Sales, Business Development, Product Management, and other functions to achieve financial goals, growth, understand areas of development and process improvements.
